Hi, my name is Claire I am 28, I have 4 beautiful daughters aged 8, 6, 3 and a new-born, who was born 6 weeks early on January the 17th 2011.. I am a full-time mummy……
This time last year I had my career plan all mapped out, this September (2010) I should have been starting my degree in Social Work, however life has a way of changing your plans despite your best efforts……
As much I would love to be continuing on that career path, my maternal instinct have put them on hold…. doing a full-time degree would mean putting my daughters second, I am not ready for that step yet.. so I decided to do something that would keep me busy but allow me to spend as much time as possible with the girls, as they will only grow up once and I want to be there for them every step of the way….
For my birthday in June, I bought a sewing machine and I started researching on-line sewing tutorials and blogs, this new-found inspiration inspired me to start my own blog about my journey through motherhood and learning to sew…. madefor3 was born.
I would love for my hobby to turn into a business, so I would be able to work from home but at the same time be there for the girls… this is something that I have started looking into and have started devising a business plan :) …… stay tuned for further developments.
